Dancing With The Stars: Kate Gosselin Replaces Paula Abdul

Submitted on March 4, 2010 No Comment

Kate Gosselin of reality show Jon and Kate Plus 8 is set to join Baywatch star Pamela Anderson on Dancing with the Stars, over two months after the separation between her husband, Jon, and her was finalised. The couple’s kids – eight of them – will remain their Pennsylvania home, which makes it difficult for Kate to manage the gruelling rehearsals as well as performance schedules for the reality show, which is based in California; although sources report that the 34-year-old is already busy practicing and flexing her dance muscles at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel under high security.

She apparently wants to “laugh at herself” when she dances, since she says she has two left feet, as she had told Jay Leno on his show that she’d like to try it out once.

Paula Abdul, known famously for being an ex-judge in American Idol, will not be a part of this year’s show cast this year, even though she was reportedly offered a million-dollar offer by ABC as a part of a “development deal” which involves being a part of the upcoming tenth season, which Paula may not be quite ready to do. The deal also allows Paula to do The X Factor with Simon Cowell, who had met with Paula a week earlier to discuss the show. It’s not clear whether she refused being a contestant or a judge, as she has decades-worth dancing experience, which is sure to give her undue advantage.

Greg Louganis, the diving legend, John Stamos, Britney Spears’ ex-hubby Kevin Federline and Evan Lysacek – Winter Games gold medallist are among those who are supposedly a part of this season’s magic 12.
